The tax holiday for investing in Russian gas and oil offshore fields has been created by the Russian government. The tax-free period is said to be 10-15 years.
According to the Deputy Minister of Finance, the length of the tax holiday has not been fixed one the same for different regions of Russia, however, all of them will be put into effect starting 2009.
Thus, the tax holiday will depend on the license the company acquires for work on the Russian shelf. |
